Thursday, January 1, 2009.........HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
New Year's Eve we were 30 minutes from New Orleans, camping at Fontainebleau State Park on the Lake. We were able to see the fireworks from New Orleans and somewhere up and down the lake area. Very pretty. We thought about going into New Orleans to see the Fler de Lis "drop" at midnight but decided there would be too many people and cars, especially with the up coming Sugar Bowl and all the folks in town for that event. We just stayed at the campground and watched the fireworks til midnight.....then went to bed! LOL!
